For Beacon to function properly, your robot's clock needs to be set to the current date and time. Sometimes the robot's clock may be incorrect, such as after a factory reset. When the robot's clock is incorrect then your robot may appear as offline in the Beacon app and may prevent you from teaching or playing parts.

In this article, you'll learn:

Universal Robots use Denmark's time zone, the country where the company is headquartered. To our knowledge, the robot's time zone cannot be changed.

When setting the time, use the Central European (CET or CEST) time.

You can use a time zone converter to help convert your local time.

PolyScope X does not yet allow customers to adjust the robot's date and time from the user interface. Instead, when the robot has internet connectivity then the Beacon URCap automatically updates the date and time for you.
