It is very important to keep all packing materials like crates, pallets, cardboard sleeves, boxes, etc. These items will be needed at the time of purchase and/or return

Unpacking System
Upon removing the system from the packaging, you will notice that it is just about completely set up and ready to go. Please follow the steps below to ensure a safe and proper setup of the cobot is conducted.
The system will look similar to the picture below. Slight differences may be present depending on the robot arm that was ordered.
Be sure to remove the zip tie holding the torch cable and lower cable management assembly in place.
Initializing Arm
On the robot teach pendant, initialize the robot arm by navigating to the circle at the bottom left of the screen. Follow the on-screen instructions for the initialization process.
Next, navigate to the “Move” page at the top left of the screen.
You will find a “Home” selection towards the bottom left of the screen.
The screen will then show an option to “Hold to Move to Position”. Once ready, hold that option down on the screen. If you lift your finger off of the screen, the program will stop. Placing your finger back on the tab will continue the program.
Note: If your system has a UR8 or UR20 robot, you will need to hold the 3PE safety buttons while the robot moves. Only partially depress one of the two yellow buttons on the rear of the pendant; there is a middle detent when you press the button.
Once in the home position, reinstall the lower cable management assembly as pictured below using a size 7/16" deep socket. The metal clamp should be positioned between the decal wording on the robot arm. The collar on the torch will go above this assembly.
If you have followed all of the instructions, the system should now be ready for operation. Congratulations on the installation of your Cobot Welder, Powered by Beacon™.
Wiring Welder
You will need to wire the welder to your power system. The welders come preconfigured for 460V 3 Phase power. If you are running a different voltage or single-phase, please refer to the Miller manuals included with the system for further instructions on how to configure the welder correctly for your voltage requirements.
