This article is for robots running PolyScope 5. If your robot runs PolyScope X, see How to Set the Startup Program for Beacon Welding (PolyScope X).
Set the teach pendant to Manual mode before you start.
If your Cobot Welder does not open the Beacon Welding program when you turn it on, add the program to the default installation so it opens on startup.
Switch to the Default Installation
Check the installation name at the top of the teach pendant. If it does not say default, switch to it with the steps below before you go on.
On the teach pendant, tap Open, then choose Installation.
In the file browser, go to the home folder, then select default.installation.
Tap Open.
If you are asked about a Safety Configuration, choose Apply and restart.
If you are asked to update the Program Installation, choose Use for now.
Configure the Default Program
With the default installation loaded and the teach pendant in Manual mode, set the installation to load the Beacon Welding program on startup.
On the teach pendant, tap Installation.
In the left-hand menu, expand General, then choose Startup.
Check that Load Default Program is selected.
Tap the text box below the checkbox to open a file browser. It may say

Tap Save, then choose Save Installation as. Save it as default.
Tap Open, then choose Program.
In the file browser, go to
applications -> com.hirebotics.beacon.welding -> welding_program.urp.Tap Open.
Wait for the robot to apply the Beacon Welding safety configuration.
