Troubleshooting Joint Connectivity

Learn how to reseat cables in shoulder joints to improve connectivity

Always power off the robot before performing hardware maintenance.

  1. Power off the robot.

  2. Remove the blue cover over the joint.

  3. Locate the communication cables (brown and white) and the power cables (red and black).

  4. Disconnect the power cables by gently pulling on the plugs.

  5. Reconnect the power cables by securely pushing the plugs back in.

  6. Disconnect the communication cables by gently pulling on the wires.

  7. Reconnect the communication cables by securely pushing the wires back in.

  8. Replace the blue cover over the joint. Do not overtighten the screws.

  9. Power on the robot.

  10. Initialize the robot arm.
