Learn how to use Set Output to send output to external equipment

While playing a part you may want to send some output to an external device. The Set Output feature allows you to insert an item into your flow that does exactly that.

Adding the Set Output Item

You can add the Set Output item by entering teach mode in a part and selecting the sixth icon in the teach panel (it looks like an up arrow in a square).

You will now see two fields available, "Output" and "State". The Output dropdown has options for which cabinet port to send output to. The State dropdown options, "On" or "Off", are the states to send.

Select the output and state to use, then click add to insert the item. When you play the part, it will send that state to the selected port when the program reaches it.
