This guide shows you how to completely restart your robot. A complete restart takes all power out of the robot and its cabinet. A normal restart does not.
Support may ask you to do this when a fault is still there after a normal restart. A complete restart rules out a temporary state, so we can move on to the real cause.
Steps
Unplug the main power cable from the robot’s cabinet.
Press and hold the power button on the teach pendant for 5 seconds.
This drains the remaining power from the robot and its cabinet.
Plug the main power cable back in.
How to Verify
The teach pendant shows the home screen, and the robot arm is ready to run.
See the Universal Robots Complete Rebooting Sequence for more details.
