For Beacon to function properly, your robot's clock needs to be set to the current date and time. Sometimes the robot's clock may be incorrect, such as after a factory reset. When the robot's clock is incorrect then your robot may appear as offline in the Beacon app and may prevent you from teaching or playing parts.

In this article, we teach you how to set your robot's clock to the current date and time.

Universal Robots use Denmark's time zone, the country where the company is headquartered. To our knowledge, the robot's time zone cannot be changed.

When setting the time, use the Central European (CET or CEST) time.

You can use a time zone converter to help convert your local time.

  1. On the teach pendant, tap to open the menu.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap Time.

  4. In the Time section, use the + and - symbols to set the hour, minute, and second.

In the Date section, tap the current date then choose today from the calendar.

Once the time, date, and desired formats are chosen, tap Apply and Restart.
